An apron made for kids who actually cook
Most "kids aprons" on Amazon are cheap polyester with a printed graphic that fades after three washes. Ours are real aprons, in two real sizes, made for kids who measure flour, crack eggs, and pull cookies out of the oven themselves.
Two sizes that fit
Small (ages 3–6) and large (ages 7–12). The adjustable neck strap means each size handles a four-year span — a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old wear the same large apron with strap set differently. Built to grow with them.
Soft European fabric
Premium European cotton blend, steamed before sewing so it won't shrink. Substantial enough to wipe clean, soft enough that the kid will actually wear it instead of complaining it's scratchy.

We stitch every piece on our embroidery machines in our studio — no iron-ons, no transfers, no decals. The thread is sewn directly into the fabric, so the name lasts wash after wash and grandma will still see it five years from now.

How do I choose between size small (3–6) and size large (7–12)?
Go by age first — small for ages 3 to 6, large for ages 7 to 12. Both sizes have an adjustable neck strap, so each one handles a four-year span comfortably. If the child is on the borderline (a tall 6-year-old or a small 7-year-old), size up. The large is harder to outgrow and the strap can be cinched in. If the child is younger than 3, see our toddler aprons (18m–3y) instead.
How do I get the spelling of the name right without spoiling the surprise?
This is the most common gift-buyer question we get. A few tactics that work: ask the parent to text you a recent photo (the kid's name is often in the file caption), check social media, or ask under a pretext — "I want to send a card." If you're stuck, you can also order a generic phrase like Junior Chef, Kid Chef, or Future Pizza Maker and skip the name entirely.
How long does it take to make and ship?
Each apron is embroidered after you order — we don't keep pre-stitched stock. Most orders ship within 3–5 business days from our Minnesota studio. If you need it for a specific date (Christmas, a birthday, the start of cooking class), message us before ordering and we'll confirm the timeline.
Does it come ready to give as a gift?
Each apron is folded and packaged neatly — most gift-givers tell us it looks ready to hand over without rewrapping. If you'd like a gift note included with the package, leave us a message in the order notes at checkout.
Can the embroidery be changed after the order?
The embroidery is permanent — it's stitched directly into the fabric, not a heat-transfer or patch. Double-check spelling at checkout. If something is wrong on our end, we'll remake it for free. If the spelling needs to change after we've stitched, message us within 24 hours of ordering and we'll do our best.
Is the apron machine washable?
Yes — machine washable. The fabric is steamed before sewing so it won't shrink, and the embroidery holds up wash after wash — kids spill, and this apron is built for it.
Are these custom-made?
Yes — every apron is custom-embroidered with the name, phrase, or initials of your choice, in our studio. We don't keep pre-stitched stock. If you're looking for a fully custom design (logo, custom colors, business order), see our custom logo aprons page.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship from Minnesota, USA, with tracking included on every order. If you're sending a gift to a different address than your billing one, just enter the recipient's address at checkout — we'll never include a price or invoice in the package.
