Each stocking measures approximately 6 × 7 inches. That compact size makes them easy to display on a fireplace mantel, a Christmas tree, a staircase garland, a shelf, or as part of a festive table arrangement.
The outer fabric depends on the design you choose — some stockings are linen, others are velvet. Every stocking has a fur cuff that continues into a soft fur lining, which is what gives it a full, structured shape. The name is embroidered onto the cuff.
We embroider the cuff before the stocking is sewn together. Once your order comes in, we make your stocking from the beginning rather than adding embroidery to an already finished item.
This is why the back of the embroidery ends up neatly enclosed inside the stocking — no loose threads, no stabilizer showing. It is real embroidery stitched into the fabric, not a print or an iron-on transfer.

Up to 12 letters reads best. Longer names still work, but the letters get smaller and may need to wrap onto a second line, which makes them harder to read. First name only is our recommendation.
Yes. A mini stocking can carry the name of any member of the household, including dogs, cats, and other pets. Plenty of customers order matching stockings for everyone at once.

You can, though we would rather you did not — washing does not do the fur any favors. If a stocking does get dirty, wash it and then dry it laid out flat. Ironing is not an option with the fur cuff, so drying it flat is what keeps the shape.

Order by around December 10. Each stocking is made to order and ships from Minnesota, and past that date we cannot promise it will be made, shipped, and delivered before Christmas — particularly for international addresses.

Our collection currently runs to fourteen designs. Some stay available for several seasons; others get replaced or joined by new prints, so we cannot promise a specific print forever. What we do keep consistent is the style, the size, and the construction — a stocking ordered years apart still belongs to the same set.
